Leadership Team

Keith Halston

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Over the course of 35+ years as a Millwright/Steel Fabricator in forestry, mining, transporation, and the GSE industry, Keith found his inherent ability to not only solve problems but improve the overall machine. His exposure to the airport environment allowed Keith an in-depth look at the critical needs in an industry that had not seen improvements for decades. As co-founder of Hallor Industries, Keith has developed the Green Ox airport baggage tractor and associated modular systems to provide the GSE industry with safer, carbon-neutral alternatives, and pioneer domestic EV production.

James Taylor

Co-Founder & Technical Director

James has 40+ years of extensive experience as a heavy-duty mechanic and welder, having rebuilt entire machines including power train components, right down to the brakes. He has applied his knowledge for the last 25 years as self-proprietor, working in the interior of BC, Canada. As co-founder of Hallor, James has been a fundamental supporter of the Green Ox R&D process as well as the development of other electric ground support equipment (GSE) that will set a new standard in the airport industry.

Dean Kneider

CEO & Board Director

Dean is a 30+ year business veteran operating and growing private and public ventures in the consumer services, development, manufacturing and operational roles. Having worked for Coca-Cola, Labatt Breweries, Intrawest, and Foster Grant and Global Coffee, Dean has built, led, and achieved strategic growth plans with international reach. Recently, Dean has passionately started and run the Vancouver-based EV Conversion Company RiiseEV and has expanded his talents into the GSE world to gradually increase deliverables on sustainability and green initiatives—supporting a circular economy.

Terence Lee

CFO

Terence is a Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA”) with ten years of progressive finance experience working and servicing companies across various industries including EV, Mining, Technology, and Cannabis. He obtained his CPA designation while articling with BDO Canada LLP focused primarily on providing audit and assurance services to Canadian public companies. His significant experience in financial reporting, technical accounting (IFRS), and financial planning and analysis led him to cofound Imperium Consulting LLP, a boutique accounting and advisory firm in Vancouver, BC.

Gary Ogden

VP Global Sales

Gary is an accomplished senior executive with 35+ years of success across the aviation, transportation, construction, and consulting industries. Throughout his executive career, Gary has held leadership positions with organizations including GTA dnata, Servisair, Lockheed Air Terminal and Sunwing Airlines Inc. and is also the Chief Executive Officer of GO Green Aviation. Leveraging his extensive experience and network in what Gary calls “one of the most exciting industries on the planet”, Gary is passionate and well-poised to establish Hallor as the GSE industry leader to further environmental awareness and the 'cleaning and greening' of the Aviation Industry.

Christina Van

Marketing

Christina's 15+ year tenure as a marketing agency Partner and Director of Digital Communications has honed her tools for creating effective processes, data analytics, and results-driven metrics. Her experienced resilience in facing the challenges of both startups and established businesses during market fluctuation has been crucial in helping high-potential entrepreneurs find and achieve their paths to success. Sector specialities include emerging cleantech, micro-mobility, EV, agriculture, hospitality, CPG, and health and wellness.

Mark Orsmond

Industry Specialist

Mark is an experienced business leader with a proven track record of managing and growing businesses to become global enterprises. For ~3 years, Mark was CFO of the Corix Group of Companies managing a team of over 45 accounting and finance professionals, and overseeing an annual budget of $2.4B+ and $1.6B+ debt portfolio. As the former CFO of Taiga Motors, he assisted the Company in securing a major $200M financing for a Canadian SPAC that included Federal and Provincial grants and loans for over $50M. Currently, Mark is the CFO of Electra Meccanica, listed on Nasdaq. Mark's insights and passion for the EV industry makes him a valuable strategic asset to Hallor Group.

Ashik Karim

Chairman & Advisor

Ashik is a Canadian-born entrepreneur and businessman who founded Striven Consulting in 2014 (later becoming a division of Deloitte); 1Shift, the first blockchain platform that manages logistics on blockchain for proof of delivery; and UpCapital Investments Corp, an investment banking group that focuses on scaling early-stage electric vehicle companies worldwide. Ashik was instrumental in the growth of Cellestial, an agricultural electric tractor company with over $5B USD in annual revenue that eventually sold to Murugappa Group. His involvement with Lytehorse Labs, an electric ATV for military and recreational use, involved helping the company achieve the right lens to grow value, hone in on bringing accretive sales, and achieve an effective go-to-market approach. Ashik has also played a fundamental role in strategic advisory for two EV charging companies throughout North America.

Ken Davidson

Board Director

Ken Davidson is an accomplished corporate director, consultant, entrepreneur, Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and certified Corporate Director (ICD.D) with over 30 years of experience in a diverse range of industries across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean. Ken was the former Managing Partner of BDO Atlantic Canada, having also been a long-time partner and served one year as Board Chair for BDO, a year in which the company generated $500 million in revenue. While a partner in BDO's Kelowna office, Ken cemented his reputation as an innovative, strategic leader who consistently exceeds clients’ expectations by providing high-level financial advice and wise counsel on the best paths to take. As an experienced board chair, board committee member, and director, Ken provides insight and expertise in the areas of corporate strategy, financial risk, governance, enterprise risk, growth strategies, mergers, and acquisitions.
